Application of Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy is intended to help you understand how GED Integrated Solutions, Inc. (hereinafter “GED”) collects, uses and safeguards the personal and other information you provide through GED’s websites and mobile applications in connection with your inquiry regarding a GED product or service or the purchase of a GED product or service. GED’s products and services will be referred to herein as “GED Product” or “GED Products”. It does not apply to the use or disclosure of personal and other information that is collected or obtained by GED through other means.
Your Account
Your Responsibilities. To protect your account from unauthorized activity, you should keep your password confidential and restrict access to your computer and any mobile devices through which your account may be accessed. You are responsible for all activity on or through your account. GED will not be liable for damages or loss arising from your failure to maintain the confidentiality of your password or to adequately restrict access to your account. You represent and warrant that all information that you provide in connection with your account is and shall be accurate, truthful, current and complete. GED reserves the right to deny, deactivate or terminate your account at GED’s discretion.
Breach of Security. You accept all risk that your account may be accessed without your permission. If you discover or suspect that the security of your account has been breached, it is your obligation to immediately inform GED of the nature of the suspected breach.
Information GED Collects and Uses
Your Personal Information. When you place an order for a GED Product or make an inquiry regarding a GED Product, GED needs to know your name, email and mailing addresses, and your billing information so that GED can fill, confirm and ship your order, notify you of your order status and process your payment or respond to your GED Product inquiry. GED may also request some of this same information from you when you ask a question or make a comment through GED’s websites or mobile applications in order for GED to respond appropriately. For administration purposes, GED’s websites or mobile applications may collect your IP address or domain name, referring web page, browser type, mobile device type, device operating system, device settings, and non-personal information about the way you use your device or this site (such as the length of time spent or the pages accessed while visiting this site). GED may use third-party website analytics tools and embedded tracking codes that collect information about visitor traffic on GED’s websites and mobile applications to collect information about you.
Disclosure of Information to Third Parties. GED does not rent or sell to others any information about GED’s customers. GED does not grant permission to third parties to collect information regarding the online activities of GED’s website or mobile application users over time and across different websites. However, GED may provide your personal information to third parties who provide services on GED’s behalf, such as the companies engaged to deliver your order and process your payment. GED also reserves the right to disclose without notice to you any information in GED’s possession if GED believes that GED is required to do so by law, to protect or defend our rights or property, or to respond to an emergency.
Use By Children. GED’s websites and mobile applications are not intended for use by children and GED does not intend to collect personal information from children. Children are directed to not use GED’s websites and mobile applications.
Mobile User Application Permissions. When you use GED’s mobile applications, you grant to GED certain permissions with respect to your device to allow GED to appropriately respond to your order or inquiry regarding GED Products. Most mobile devices provide you with information about these permissions.
Mobile User Location. GED’s mobile applications may also collect information about the location of your mobile device, if you grant this permission.
Access and Correction. The file containing your personal information will be held at GED’s offices or on GED’s servers or those of GED’s service providers, and employees who require it for the purposes of their duties will have access to this file. You may obtain a copy of certain personal information GED maintains about you and update or correct inaccuracies in that information using the features of your account. Security of Your Information
GED’s Responsibility. The security of your information is important to GED. While GED endeavors to use reasonable efforts to safeguard the confidentiality of your information, the Internet and other e-commerce channels are not totally secure. Due to the possibility of transmission errors, hacking or other unauthorized third-party activities, GED cannot guarantee that personal data transmitted to our website and mobile applications will remain secure. If GED becomes aware of a security breach involving any such data, GED will make all legally required disclosures consistent with GED’s ability to determine the scope of the breach, GED’s need to restore the integrity of the system and the needs of law enforcement.
Credit Card Information. Whenever GED transmits your credit card information over the Internet, GED uses industry standard Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption for all pages containing private information pertaining to your shipments. Your full credit card number is never displayed when you use GED’s websites or mobile applications. When you use a saved credit card, GED will only include the last four digits of the credit card number on the order page so that you can tell which credit card you used.
Cookies
A cookie is a small text file stored on your computer or mobile device. Cookies are commonly used to retain and accelerate the transfer of information for online services.
Use of Cookies by GED. When you use GED’s websites or mobile applications, GED can identify you in later visits by looking for a cookie on your device.
Verifying Your Identity Without Cookies. If you use GED’s websites or mobile applications from a device that does not have your cookie or from which you have deleted your cookie, you can retrieve your personal information from GED by providing your email address or user name. If you are coming from a different network than you have used in the past, GED’s software/programs will prompt you for your password so that GED can verify your identity.
“Do Not Track” Signals
GED’s websites and mobile applications are not configured to respond, and do not respond to “do not track” signals.
Disclaimers Relating to Privacy Laws Outside the United States
GED’s websites and mobile applications are operated by GED from our offices in the United States. Information that you submit to GED from outside the United States through GED’s websites and mobile applications will be transmitted to the United States (including to GED’s service providers located in the United States). Foreign countries may have privacy laws that differ in scope than privacy laws in the United States. GED makes no representation that GED’s websites or mobile applications are appropriate or available for use in locations outside the United States and makes no representation as to the privacy or protection of information submitted to GED from outside the United States through GED’s websites or mobile applications.
Changes in Privacy Policy
GED reserves the right to change the Privacy Policy at any time by providing notice to you. GED will notify you of changes to the Privacy Policy by one or more of the following: (i) providing you with an electronic notification through GED’s websites or mobile applications or via email or other means of electronic communication of the Privacy Policy change(s), or (ii) making a revision to the Privacy Policy and changing the Terms and Conditions Version Date appearing below. By clicking the “I agree” button in connection with an electronic notification or electronic communication of a Privacy Policy change, by using any of the GED’s websites or mobile applications to order a GED Product or make an inquiry regarding a GED Product after the new version date, you signify your acceptance of the Privacy Policy change(s) and the revised Privacy Policy.
